Friday, June 20th 2025 | Husa na provázku - Dvorek

Friday evening at Hus na provázku was devoted to a topic that is still rarely talked about – the experiences of queer people at the intersection of nationality or ethnicity.

The debate entitled "Who am I and where do I belong?" opened up questions of identity, home, and everyday functioning in a society that is often blind to multiple marginalization. Guests of Vietnamese, Ukrainian and Mexican origin shared their personal stories, challenges and joys of life on the border of communities, languages and cultures.

Discrimination was discussed, but also the strength of community, finding a safe space and building pride in one's identity in all its forms.

The debate was brilliantly and sensitively moderated by actor Michal Sikora, who created a space for deep sharing and lightness, where it was possible not only to think but also to laugh.

We would like to thank the Husa na provázku theatre for providing the space and to everyone who came to listen, share and be together.
